Updating adobe camera raw

While new features have continued to be added to Camera Raw for Photoshop CC customers since Camera Raw 8.1 back in 2013, Photoshop CS6 customers have been able to continue to use the product with their new cameras’ RAW files to date. Adobe made the following statement in announcing the end of Camera Raw support for Photoshop CS6 users. In order to pursue further innovations in image processing and workflow technology, the next release of Adobe Camera Raw (v 9.1.1) will be the final version available for use with CS6.It's only Lightroom, of the same age, that seems to be stuck in the past.

Similar tools are now grouped into categories, and the interface and corresponding gestures are now designed to be used one-handed.

Lightroom Mobile has also gained an "Info" section in which photographers can add metadata such as titles and copyright information.

Then I see that the DNG converter is available for free download, and I could actually use that to convert RAW images of a new camera model to DNG and then use them in Lightroom as usual.

That adds an extra step to the workflow (which might be possible to automate), and I'd lose the original RAW file (because I don't want to keep twice the file size).

Please note – If you have trouble updating to the latest ACR update via the Creative Cloud application, please refer to the following plugin installation: Prize-winning photographer Brian Smith creates iconic portraits of the famous and infamous for magazines, books and advertising.

He has appeared on The X Factor, Fine Living Network and Israel Channel One and exhibited at the Library of Congress and the Aperture Gallery.

Adobe also released Adobe Camera Raw 9.8, which adds supports for many new cameras and lenses, including the latest additions to the Sigma Art series.

New features in Lightroom CC 2015.8/6.8 include camera matching profiles and tethered shooting for the Canon 5D Mark IV, performance improvements (particularly when editing with background tasks running), zoom-to-fit and zoom-to-fill capabilities, and the new Reference View.

But perhaps most exciting is the addition of the same capture interface that the Android version of the app has to the i OS version.

This interface allows the user access to a "professional" mode, which is essentially a full manual mode.

The release of Camera Raw and Lr can be out of step on occasion, but rarely for more than a few weeks.
